The first step we took building our business was deciding who we wanted to be. Building your brand is future proofing and helps you guide your decisions with how and what you'll do with your business.

Here are some things you should work on when building your brand:

• Mission Statement (Know your purpose)

• Be Unique (You only want to be you)

• Know your Target Audience

• Stay Consistent (Don't confuse people)

• Be Authentic (People will know)

• Be Thick Skinned (and open to feedback)

• Be Visually Striking (To stand out)

When you can put all these things together you will have a strong foundation to start building your business.
